Pierce spent ten seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, first as running backs coach (2014-15), then quarterbacks coach (2016-19) and offensive coordinator (2021-24). Pierce’s time with Winnipeg included a pair of Grey Cup victories (2019, 2021) and sat at the top of the West Division in five consecutive seasons (2019, 2021-24).
The former quarterback also played for the BC Lions from 2005-2009 and 2013, winning a Grey Cup with the club in 2006.
The Lions went 9-9 in 2024 and earned their way to the Western Semi-Final where they ultimately lost to the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
