Happy New Year, Stamps fans!
In case you've been occupied with family dinners, work parties or overcrowded malls over the past four weeks, I've organized a list of all the Stamps news you may have missed over the holidays.
It was a busy December for general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson.
Here's a look at all the transactions that took place throughout last month:
• Dec. 11 – Signed National kicker Rene Paredes
• Dec. 19 – Signed National long snapper Aaron Crawford
• Dec. 20 – Signed National receiver Jalen Philpot and American offensive lineman D'Antne Demery
• Dec. 23 – Signed National offensive lineman Zack Williams and acquired a conditional pick in the 2025 CFL draft from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for the negotiation rights to American quarterback Jake Maier
You can stay up to date with the Stampeders' list of pending free agents here.
The Free Agency period opens on Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. MT.
Additionally, Dickenson announced his coaching staff for the 2025 season, including six newcomers.
Joining the Red and White are former Stamps players Markus Howell and Ucambre Williams, as well as John Bowman, Craig Dickenson, Marcus Klund and Barron Miles.
• Dave Dickenson – General manager and head coach
• Pat DelMonaco – Offensive coordinator and offensive line coach
• Bob Slowik – Defensive coordinator

Fun Fact
New d-line coach John Bowman won his first Grey Cup championship in McMahon Stadium as a member of the 2009 Montreal Alouettes, in a 28-27 victory over the Riders.
(Yes, this was an excuse for me to bring up the infamous "too many men" call again).
Stamps In The Community
The Red and White participated in multiple community events over the holiday season, doing their best to serve some Christmas cheer to Calgarians:
Coach Philpot
Jalen Philpot served as a guest coach alongside BC Lions receiver Kieran Poissant at the RAW Sports All-Star camp in Kelowna, BC, to work with receivers in Grades 8-12.
The camp supports youth football players from BC, Alberta, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Retired Stampeder Charlie Moore also provided coaching services, as well as University of Calgary Dinos defensive line coach Chris Anstey, who guest coached with the Red and White during 2024 training camp as part of the Diversity in Football program.
VA Touches Down In Calgary
Vernon Adams Jr. made a visit to check out his new digs for the first time as a Stampeder.
During his few days in Calgary, the QB attended his first Flames game and received a warm welcome from the crowd. He also took time to surprise a few Season-Ticket Members with holiday gifts.
Happy Birthday To Ya
There are five Stamps players celebrating birthdays this month:
