Women's Recap: Fleet find Northwest Passage, beat Montreal in a shootout 3-2.

Boston is undefeated in the Pacific Northwest, taking the extra point in a shootout.
The first was all Montreal, so bad some fans surely turned off the game. While Boston had the early advantage the Victoire turned that around when Emily Brown took a penalty. Montreal scored on that power play and stalled Boston's offense out for the remainder of the period. Montreal added a second goal and seemed to have the game in the bag.
After the intermission neither team pulled away from the other but the Boston special teams unit got a chance in the middle of the frame and their first round pick Hannah Bilka took a terrific feed from Megan Keller and slammed a shot home to initiate the comeback.
The last period of regulation saw Susanna Tapani do her magic once again scoring an equalizer to force bonus hockey.
Overtime once again saw the Fleet dominate play, helped by the carryover penalty called against Marie-Philip Poulin. While neither team were able put a winner in the net both teams had opportunities, Montreal had a breakaway around the mid point but Aerin Frankel was able to do just enough to stop the puck and Boston went back to a sustained pressure.
In the shootout only Poulin was able to solve Frankel with a terrific shot. The Fleet saw all of their shooter, besides Hilary Knight, bury their shots for the victory.

Game Notes
- The Fleet are shooting more and it is showing on the score sheet as Boston's offense has been improving of late.
- It was a good power play night for the Fleet with both goals being scored with the extra skater.
- More questions are being asked as Alina Mueller is still being played at the wing having rookie Shay Maloney get the center spot on her line. With Mueller being a natural center you have to wonder if being out of position is hampering her scoring this season.
- Another night of Frankel keeping the Fleet above water. Once again Boston could and should have been well out of the game, but Montreal was held off the board after the first period and was given enough time to get an equalizer in regulation.
- The road trip continues with two games remaining.
- Boston will return to action on Wednesday when they return to Minneapolis to play Minnesota for the second time in a week.
