Logan Paul pleaded with UFC and WWE supremo Ari Emanuel to be allowed to fight Conor McGregor in footage posted to YouTube yesterday.

The social media sensation has been signed up to appear every week as part of the WWE’s new Netflix deal, and has ‘dedicated his life’ to the endeavour. But he has admitted that an offer to fight McGregor might lure him back to the boxing ring.

While the basis for reports of a pair of $250million purses for their prospective fight comes from a parody account, both men appear to be running with the narrative. And Paul even joked that the WWE would need to match such a number to stop him from taking the fight.

Logan Paul shares footage of phone call with Conor McGregor

In a vlog posted to his YouTube channel yesterday, Logan Paul addressed the possibility of fighting Conor McGregor publicly for the first time. The fight has been rumored since the Irishman tweeted that there was a ‘preliminary agreement’ made with India’s Ambani family at the end of last year.

And Paul appeared to be well up for the fight, telling one of WWE’s writers that any mention of a boxing retirement in his promos would be a lie. He even showed himself on the phone with McGregor, who told him that the bout was a very real possibility.

“This can happen my man, for real,” McGregor could be heard telling Paul as he held the phone up to the camera smiling. “This can and will happen.”

Logan Paul tells WWE to match $250million fight offer

A big factor for both men appears to be the money, whether or not it’s legitimate. Bloody Elbow sources have indicated that the real purses on offer for such a fight, which is also being shopped to Logan’s brother Jake Paul and business partner KSI, are much closer to $25million than the reported $250m.

However, he and McGregor continue to claim that they are being offered the monstrous amount, which would take their collective earnings to the half-a-billion-dollar mark. And he told WWE President Nick Khan that he would need a similar offer to turn down a fight offer of that magnitude.

“I mean bro, it would be an epic fight,” he told a crestfallen Rob Fee, who is a WWE writer tasked with helping him to create promos. “It’s something I might step away from WWE for a second to go and do.

“$250million, Rob? $250million, I have to take that. Unless, hey, if Nick Khan matches that, I’ll stay in the WWE.”

Logan Paul pleads with WWE and UFC boss to ‘greenlight’ Conor McGregor fight

Later in the video, Paul headed to his former home of Los Angeles to appear at WWE Raw’s debut on Netflix. He made an appearance in a pre-taped interview before heading ringside to goad fans and announce his plans to compete throughout the year.

Paul spent time backstage and ringside with a number of the company’s big stars including his old rivals Kevin Owens and LA Knight. But perhaps the most interesting moment came when he ran into Ari Emanuel the CEO of Endeavor and the TKO Group, which owns WWE and UFC.

He could be seen shaking hands with Emanuel and telling him “Ari, I need one favor from you,” to which the Hollywood mogul responded “Yeah”, before Paul said “I need you to greenlight me vs Conor.” The pair then laughed, before mutually saying “seriously”.
