Donald Cerrone is planning to make his UFC return.

In fact, "Cowboy" has already mapped out the timeline for his combat sports comeback, which should line up with International Fight Week in July. That's assuming the part-time bull rider can pass his mandatory drug screening without incident.

Goodbye lightweight, hello middleweight?

"I gotta be clean for six months and that's conveniently enough, Fourth of July weekend, International Fight Week," Cerrone told Dale Brisby. "Right now, I'm training two or three times a week, kind of slow rolling back into it. When I turn the [dial] from simmer to boil, we'll see where my weight goes. I don't want to cut any weight, I'd just like to show up and fight. So, 185 [pounds] to me sounds great. If I get down to 190 [pounds] I'll fight at [170]. I dunno, we'll see how my body feels."

The bookies at BetOnline.ag already have odds on Cerrone's first opponent:

Clay Guida 7/1

Court McGee 9/1
Michael Johnson 9/1
Alex Reyes 10/1

Cerrone's first fight may come against UFC CEO Dana White, who doesn't want the 41 year-old "Cowboy" to return after going winless in his last seven bouts. The Coloradan holds a 36-17 record with two No Contests and hasn't competed since losing to Jim Miller at UFC 276 back in summer 2022.
