Collingwood has officially signed Tim Membrey as a delisted free agent.

The club announced the signing on Friday after the opening of the delisted free agency window, with the 30-year-old penning a two-year deal with the club.

Membrey played 178 games for St Kilda across a decade and kicked 293 goals in the red, white and black.

Magpies list boss Justin Leppitsch was thrilled to add the quality forward to the club's list and he expects Membrey to make an impact at his third AFL club.

"We are pleased to welcome Tim to Collingwood," Leppitsch said via a statement.

"We have been in discussion with Tim for some time and we have identified him as key talent for our list's needs.

"Above his football ability, Tim is a quality individual and strong leader, which we know will complement our program.

"We welcome Tim, his wife Emily, and their children Wren and Beau to our Club, and we look forward to introducing them to our Collingwood family when we return for pre-season training come November."

Membrey is the third addition to join Collingwood from a rival club this off-season following the signings of Dan Houston from Port Adelaide via trade and Harry Perryman from GWS as a free agent.
