Josh Jenkins has outlined Collingwood's biggest hits and misses from the last five years of drafting and recruiting players.

The former Adelaide Crows forward will assess each of the 18 clubs on AFL Trade Radio and provide what he believes have been the hits and misses when it comes to player acquisition over the last half decade.

Read his thoughts on the Magpies below:

Collingwood hits

"The big hit for me is Darcy Cameron," Jenkins said on The Late Trade.

"They got Darcy Cameron and pick 62 for pick 56 (before the 2020 season), that is pretty good to slide back just six spots for a ruckman who finished second in the best and fairest.

"He mightn't be a headline act, but when you're sliding a few spots in the draft for a ruckman who has been there every single week is huge.

"He has seen off Brodie Grundy, has had Mason Cox (as back up and) has not had Mason Cox (at times).

"He just turns up every week and plays the game at a high level."

Collingwood misses

"Their big miss for me is the outcome of the 2020 Draft," Jenkins added.

"Again, it's the outcome and it's not fair in the club because they can't really foresee the outcome.

"But __Ollie Henry, Jack Ginnivan and Caleb Poulter have all moved on and are all playing footy elsewhere.

Fin Macrae and Reef McInnes were still unsure and I reckon Ash Johnson has had plenty of chances, just hasn't been able to harness his immense athletic talents."
